Interdistrict Forms Now Available

Out-of-Parish Parent News!

For those students currently attending Haynes who live outside of Jefferson Parish,  Interdistrict Transfer and Permission forms are now available to print out from the Jefferson Parish Public School System website:  www.jppss.k12.la.us.  Please look under the "Parent News" on the front page and click on "Transfer request forms for 2012-13 now available."  Please adhere to the requirements and deadlines to turn in your forms for your child to the appropriate office.  Call the school if you have any questions or problems.

Summer Reading Lists

2012 2013 Magnet Summer Reading lists and book forms are now available for all middle and high school students.  They are located on the Haynes E-board under the "English" tab.  Have a happy and safe summer of reading!  All forms are due on the first day of school, August 9, 2012.

Congratulations Andy Beams

Andy Beams won first place in his division and is the new Louisiana State Champion in that division.  By winning the 8th grade division, Andy is the official Louisiana representative to the Dewain Barber Tournament of K-8 Champions held in Vancouver, Washington in August 2012. This is an invitational tournament where the state champions from all 50 states will compete. The top five finishers in the tournament of champions receive scholarships and the winner qualifies for the world open. 

Superintendents Breakfast of Champions DVDs

Parents and students:

Free DVDs are now available of the Superintendent's "A" Breakfast of Champions which was held on February 29, 2012 at Bonnabel HS.  These DVDs were distributed in homerooms last week.  If your child attended the breakfast and did not receive one, or was absent, or if you would like an additional copy, please contact the school office at 837-8300.  Congratulations to all of our students!

The Academic Games Leagues of America is proud to announce that Haynes Academy Seniors Ridwan Syed and Dustin Wright were presented the Outstanding Senior Award at the AGLOA National Tournament in Wheeling, WV on Monday, April 30.

 

The Outstanding Senior Award is a national recognition given to graduating seniors who have enviable competition records and have given of themselves to promote the spirit of Academic Games in their own schools and leagues. These individuals exhibit the highest qualities of character and sportsmanship.
