The Advanced Study Academy application period is now open on Monday, February 28, 2011 and will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011.  Applications may be obtained on-line at www.jppss.k12.la.us, or in person at any school in our district or at the Eastbank Region Office on 822 S. Clearview Parkway in Harahan or at the Westbank Region Office on 2300 Barataria Boulevard in Marrero, or at the Instruction Dept at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey.

Completed applications must be submitted in-person only at these two locations:  the Eastbank Region Office at 822 S. Clearview Parkway in Harahan or the Instruction Dept. at 501 Manhattan Blvd. in Harvey.  Completed applications submitted by US mail, email, fax or any other form of electronic submission will NOT be accepted or considered.  Parent/guardians will receive additional information regarding testing when they submit the applications in person at either of the two required processing sites.

Advanced Study Academy Application Process 2011 -  2012

 

The Jefferson Parish School Board will conduct a meeting on February 23, 2011 at 5 p.m. on the Bonnabel High School campus to discuss proposed changes to the admissions process that would apply to the 2011 – 2012 school year and beyond.  Once officially approved by our School Board, the application period and an outline of the entire process will be announced and posted shortly after the meeting on February 23, 2011.   You may review the document that will be going before the Board by visiting our website at

Congratulations to Haynes Academy for qualifying as this year's"We the People" State Champion!  Five schools representing four congressional districts competed in the annual "We the People" State Competition that was held in  Baton Rouge on January 28th.  Haynes Academy advances to the “We the People” National Competition in Washington, D.C. on May 2, 2011.
