Dear Parents and Students:
Many students are past due for receiving immunizations required for school entry. Deficiencies are in the process of being sent home. If you receive a deficiency and your child needs immunizations, you can receive those shots at either your child’s private physician, The GNO Immunization Bus or the Jefferson Parish Health Unit. The Immunization Bus gives immunizations for free, and the bus schedule can be found at .GNOshots4kids.com. The Jefferson Parish Health Unit (838-5100) charges $10.00 per visit regardless of the number of shots given.
The State Universal Certificate of Immunizations is REQUIRED to show that your child has received the immunizations and can also be obtained from your child’s doctor, the bus, or the health unit.
SENIORS: If you are planning to attend college, most colleges require students to be up to date as a condition of admission.
